Drumemporium

From about the turn of the century, regiments began to go to great lengths to ensure a smart appearance for the Corps of Drums. They purchased many extra items for the drums at regimental expense. The wooden counter hoops were often painted at a considerable cost with such devices as herald rose in the case of the Lancashire Fusiliers and for the Cheshire Regiment, the regimental no.22 in Roman Numerals all around the hoops.

Here at Drum Emporium we can paint our drums with ANY crest or badge you require. All of our emblazons are hand painted by a herald artist who has a vast experience of drum emblazons. His customers include The Brigade of Guards, HM Royal Marines, Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, Royal Air Force and many more. All the art work is painstakingly done using the traditional methods that have been passed down throughout the years. Our artist is one of only a handful in the UK who still practices this old tradition.

We have a massive collection of art work from many different regiments, schools & Organisations. Our artwork is not just for the UK we also hold artwork from Canada, USA, Africa and many more. If we don’t have the artwork you require we can have a template drawn up. This will incur a small commission fee. A small selection of finished emblazons, that we have previously completed, appear in the pictures below. As you can see from the pictures our artwork is second to none.
